    links?

Assuming entirely of course you are creating new page(s), adding content, maybe some images, and Publishing?

Then, did you set-up you menu's?

and still nothing appears even when arriving to your homepage?

I was going to say that 2012 shows a page menu when there is no menu. Publish the pages and they will show up on the menu.

probably should check your permalink setup and .htaccess file. There is too little details to go on to narrow down the problem so start there and report.

probably should check your permalink setup and .htaccess file. There is too little details to go on to narrow down the problem so start there and report.

This is completely incomprehensible to a non-technical user. Yes, the problem could lie in their .htaccess file or their permalink settings, but, WordPress is designed specifically for people without programming or web administration experience.

That said: @kroots, you have to provide more details with your issue. We are not wizards, we can't just magically figure out what's going on. In fact, this is what we do most of the time: http://xkcd.com/627/

So, you wouldn't just tell a car mechanic, "I dunno it just doesn't work," or tell an electrician, "I dunno my living room won't turn on." You would describe what you did to try and resolve the problem and what exactly you were seeing as far as error messages. For example: "This specific outlet won't work," or "The car makes thiiiiis sound at a specific point when it on."

Yes, managing a website can be overwhelming at first glance. Let's start out with the original post, have you published the pages you want to show on your site? They won't display publicly until you do so.

Sincere apologies-suitably chastised for non-compliance to protocol!!!

OK I am trying to follow a very basic set up guide to practice building a website rather than a blog using Twenty twelve. I have added my site name and tag line and now want to add pages with the little tabs such as About, Courses (its an educ site) Register etc. I was told to simply add each title and a sentence and then click on save draft/preview. when I preview there is nothing there so I guess in my dork way I have missed something
And I really, really appreciate the help.
