    Hello,
I was wondering if you could add support for "deTube - Professional Video WordPress Theme" This theme doesn't reference the URL directly in the content area. It creates a custom filed titled dp_video_url which has the video URL in it and the YouTube comment plugin doesn't detect this field. Can you update the plugin to query for this field or add an option to query for that field if you use the deTube theme? If you don't want to add support globally let me know how I could update the plugin to detect it. Thanks!

    G'day,

Yes sure, I did that for "Automatic YouTube Video Posts" plugin. An option is a good idea, probably other themes and plugins that use a custom field.

    Thanks,
    Craig

Version 1.2 is out. I added support for "deTube" theme, and a setting for custom fields.

You are awesome man. Works like a charm for showing the comments and took me a little while to figure out exactly how to get it to allow posting comments.

Might think about adding the exact steps for people not familiar with created a Google App. I had to figure it out by reading the error codes that were reported back to me from the API. I got it working though. Thanks again!

Couple other things that aren't really problems but wondering if you knew if there was any way to enable replying to comments? Additional API access or do they not allow that using the API?

Also, if I enabled minify with W3 Total Cache of the javascript the YouTube comments plugin will just hang on loading but never populate. Have any idea why that is? I tried minify and combine only and neither of them worked so I just disabled it but would be helpful if I could use it. Some other plugins don't load either like the Facebook comments API so it is not just you. I am using cloudflare minify in replace of it.

If you have any thoughts on this let me know. Thanks again for adding the custom field option.

Hey thanks, you're welcome mate. Yeah, it's so frustrating. I really should make a guide soon. I'm fairly sure that reply comments are possible, and will look at the caching problem too. Cheers!
