• I signed up with a company called homebase learning institute. They creating my website. But havent been forthcoming and helpful since. Frustrated I tried making changes to my site after they made unauthorized chages to my site. Bad timing because I was promoting to contacts today visa skype.Ttried to make the horrible changes right for good impressions sake. Didnt work out. I pulled a loan for $25,000 on them and its only been 5months. I sign a year contract. Im fed up with them ignoring me not responding to requests and their webinars being a joke. My problem is I know no coding thats how this happened. They have control over the hosting. My question is if I left, would I be able to transfer all my products and files to a WP store without alot of work done?. I already got a blog http://www.securitygearshop.com/blog. Im desperate. This has been a horrible experience. I was conned. I dont have the money to buy dreamweaver and take the classes to learn the thing and the wysiwyg tools are either andvanced or dont allow working on existing projects. Please somebody give me answers. This loan is killing me big time

WordPress is free software. You can download it and install it where ever you want. Or you can use wordpress.com and host your domain there.

Your webhost does retain control of your site at the end of the day (this is legally to protect themselves) but the people you pay to BUILD your site does not, unless they also host you.

What is it you’d like WordPress help for? We can help tell you how to install it, but this isn’t a company for hire to come in and fix a site. There are specialists listed at http://codepoet.com/ and you can post to hire someone at http://jobs.wordpress.net

If you have had a bad experience with ‘faceless’ online or larger companies, try looking in your local area for freelancers. They often group together to help pool their skills, and are very friendly and helpful.

I know that’s not necessarily of any immediate help, but going forward it may boost your confidence between business and web presence.

If your proposals to the Dean are written with the same level of grammar you’re using here, that’s going to be part of your problem. Spelling, grammar and punctuation matter with business proposals.

I don’t know. What products did you buy?
