   My site: http://trainbaseball.com

   My goal:

   1.) To create a subscription based community, where users have editable profile pages, complete with stats, tracking, etc. (all sports related)

   2.) To create connectivity between users with a forum, chat, friend-request system, etc.

   3.) To give users the ability to track their progress through the site's material and keep track of their own progress.

   I know WP Wishlist will do the membership part, but has no community features. BuddyPress looks like it'll connect my users, but not let them track progress.

   So, is there a solution? I would gladly pay for it too...

   WordPress MU with BuddyPress might do most of what you need. Some customization would be required.

   There are several subscription plugins out there -- not sure which works best, so do your research before spending money on these...

   Stats, I'm assuming would be baseball stats? This is pretty niche and would probably require some code, perhaps a buddypress plugin, to be written.
