    Hi,

I really like this plugin but it’s lucking one features that allow store owners to get a commission from members who upload their digital products.

I am willing to buy the affiliate plugin if the features that I am asking will be implemented.

    What I want is this:

I have a website that allows me to upload my own digital products as well as allow my member to upload their product also. Once they sold an item I get 25% commission from their sales.

If the product is sold through affiliate the commission should be based on the amount left from the affiliate.

Ex. If the price is $100 and the affiliate commission is 30% then I can get commission only after the affiliate commission and that is $70.

    Is this possible?

That feature does exist actually, just as an add-on extension: https://easydigitaldownloads.com/extension/commissions/

We are also working on build an add-on that gives an easy way to have users submit their products.

    Thanks for the reply. Interesting…

Will this addon works with affiliate also? As I have mentioned above:

Ex. If the price is $100 and the affiliate commission is 30% then I can get commission only after the affiliate commission and that is $70.

Additionally, after activating the plugin and going to pages like the “Product Page” (http://cart.chmscians.com/products-page/) the shortcode does not work. It only display the name of the shortcode like [productspage].

Also, the member who uploaded its own file is able to buy his/her own product. Supposed to be it should not.

They work side by side but not together. The commission amount recorded does not get impacted by an affiliate earning also get recorded.

The [productspage] short code is part of the WP Ecommerce plugin, not Easy Digital Downloads. Go to the Documentation page for EDD to see how to set it up: easydigitaldownloads.com/documentation

    Hi,

Sorry I thought it was part of your plugin.

So it means the commission addon and affiliate commission plugin will get from the original price?

If the price of a product is $100

    less store commission = 25%
    less affiliate commission = 30%

Then the amount that the member/ower of the product will recieve only $45?

    Is this correct?

Not quite right. The rates are set for the affiliate and the product owner. The store owner would get what is left.

So you would set the percentage that the item author receives via the commissions add-on, and you would set the referral commission rate via the affiliates add-on.

Sorry but I can’t get what you mean.

Can you give me an example based on the amount of the product that is $100?

If the affiliate commission is 30% and product owner commission is 75%.

How much should I received as a store owner?

    Plugin Contributor Pippin Williamson

    (@mordauk)

If the product is $100 and the affiliate receives 30% and the product owner receives %75, the store owner loses 5 dollars.

If the product is $100 and the affiliate receives 30% and the product owner receives %70, the store owner loses $0 and gains $0.

If the product is $100 and the affiliate receives 30% and the product owner receives %65, the store owner gains 5 dollars (5%).

    Thanks.

Is it possible to get the commission as a store owner after the affiliate commission?

That is if Affiliate commission is 30% then the store owner would get the commission from the amount left (i.e. $70).

If the store owner commission is 25% then the product owner would only get $52.50.

    Is this possible?

No. As I mentioned before, the add-ons work side by side (as in they can both be active), but they do not directly affect each other.

    Ok. One last question.

With your plugin, do I need a PayPal premier/business account? Or a personal account is also applicable…

What I want is use your plugin and other addon like affiliate and sell digital products using PayPal as your free payment gateway.

You need a business account, but the free one works just fine. AS long as the account is verified, it will work fine.

    Ok. Thank you very much.

I hope you will modify the commission addon that will work with affiliation commission.

If yes, then please contact me and I will integrate it.
