    Hi all,

    I use wordpress, and when I am logged into my admin account, I can see the website of the individual commenter. However, when I look at the public view of the webpage, I only see the commenter's name. The name isn't highlighted (no link attached).

    I've tried playing with the settings, but haven't found one that will let me display the commenter's website. Does anyone know what setting needs to be checked or unchecked? I don't have any plug-ins for comments atm.

    Here is the link to my site:

    Thanks!

    weird - the default theme Twenty Ten uses this code (in functions.php) to output the comment author:

    <?php printf( __( '%s <span class="says">says:</span>', 'twentyten' ), sprintf( '<cite class="fn">%s</cite>', get_comment_author_link() ) ); ?>

    and 'get_comment_author_link()' is supposed to return a linked author name if there is a author url:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/comment_author_link

    do you have made any edits to comments.php?

    I only see the commenter's name. The name isn't highlighted (no link attached).

    if you edit those comments, does the commenter's url show?

    alchymth, thanks for the help.

    I found out the problem:

    I have the Gravatar plug-in installed and there is an option to select or de-select linking a commenter's name to their website.
