I think there’s a plugin that will mass delete comments. And yes, those are spam – are you using Akismet or other anti-spam plugin?

Give this a look. That will delete all approved comments on your WordPress installation. Careful, that will delete all approved comments.

I set up a blog and now have 3000 useless “comments” that have nothing to do with my blog. What purpose do these comments serve the senders and is there any way to filter comments that come in. If not, how do I turn comments off completely (assuming that’s the only resolution)?
Also, is there a way to delete all of these comments at once or do I have to do it individually?
