   I am responsible. I wanted to shut comments off. And tried to plugins to do that.

   Well I was successful.

   So successful that I cannot get comments on again.

   Can you tell me how to correct the issue.

   I deleted the comments off plugins.

   Here's a sample page

   Look under Settings > Discussion if "Allow people to post comments on new articles" checkbox is checked.

   try
   - switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

   @keesiemeijer Thanks. This reminded me to look at the posted articles. What I found was that the plugin set the comments off as default on the individual posted article.

   I had to go and allow each posted article to allow comments.

   My system is now default-comments-off after the plugin instead of default-comments-on.

   Clever me.
