   Hi there,

   I am now running 1.5.1 and have noticed that when I post with comments off it does not say that on my index (front page). For example shouldn't it say: comments: comments closed or am I wrong?

   I use this at present: '<?php comments_popup_link('Want to reply?', '1 Comment', '% Comments'); ?>'

   Just need to have comments: cloased when they are

   Can you help?

   Are comments *and* pings turned off on the post? The 'comments off' notice won't appear unless both of these are disabled.

   Here's a plugin that you may like to try:

   http://wordpress.org/support/topic/48539

   It replaces "no comments" with "comments off" if your comments are indeed turned off, notwithstanding that pings/trackbacks are on. Good luck!
