    Just upgraded to 3.0.1 and had to go through the usual ritual of hacking includes/comment-template.php to remove the ‘Comments Off’ text.

    Could this please be configurable or defaulted to ”.

    I don’t use WordPress as a Blog, I use it as a pure website CMS for which it is great; but ‘Comments Off’ suddenly appearing on every page is meaningless.

    … now I have to figure out how to make my categories order by slug rather than name again.

    Grrrrrr!

    You should be doing all this in your theme, not in the Core Code.

    And if you ARE doing it in your theme, make a child theme to prevent upgrades from whacking changes.

    Remember: NEVER CHANGE CORE CODE. Unless ‘baldy’ is a nickname to which you aspire 😉
