Comments not working (4 posts)

If someone could help me get this fixed, I'd be most grateful. I was running my blog on Yahooo (http://commanderzero.com), and they had some SQL database issues last week that they claim to have fixed. During that time, database access was a problem and pages would come back with errors stating the database could not be accessed. Not knowing what the problem on my end was, I updated to WP 3.1.1. (I'd been running a much older version.) I went to yahoo's control panels and also updated PHP to 5.3.6 and MySQL to 5.1.55 since that was needed to run the newer version of WP.

The problem is that when a comment is filled out and 'Submit' clicked, the page reloads with an incomplete address in the address bar as if no comment had been submitted at all. (Example: http://commanderzero.com/?p=2997#comment- ) From reading every post I can find here on similar subjects, it appears that the Permalinks info isn't being applied. Tried changing themes, same problem. Turned off all plugins, same problem. Removed all plugins, same problem. Tried switching back to the earlier version of WP, all the way down the line to 2.7, same problem. Comments are enabled, anyone can post, anyone can register,

I'm strictly an end user, I know nothing about coding php or any thing else. If someone could tell me how to fix this, and explain it to me like I'm 8-years-old, I'd be amazingly grateful.

Well, being left to fend for myself, I wound up rolling back to an earlier version of WP, reverted to an earlier version of MySQL and PHP, did a database repair and -whammo- back in business. I suspect the problem is strictly on Yahoo's end. At least, thats what Im guessing since no one wants to chime in with any advice or suggestions.

John, I'm having a related issue. Can you help me understand how to roll back to an earlier version of WP? I'm also only minimally knowledgeable in the inner workings of WP. :) Thank you so much!
