   Currently it appears that all comments or at least first time commenters must be approved on our blog. We do not want this to be the case. We would like for people to be able to post freely without us having to approve comments before they appear. Currently, it appears that the best case scenario is that comments will only have to be approved the first time and then that user will be able to comment freely.

   We would like to set it up so that no comments need to be approved. Is this possible?

   Have you tried unchecking the option:

   Comment author must have a previously approved comment

   found in Settings->Discussion?
