The comments link on all of my posts is returning a 404 error, so my readers cannot leave comments. I disabled the Comments Remix plugin, but that did not solve the problem. That's the only comments plugin I have installed. I have not made any major changes to my WordPress install, except that I had to do a database repair a few days ago.

Deactivate all plugins and check to see if this resolves the problem. If it does, activate the plugins one by one - checking the post after each re-activation - until you find the problematic plugin(s).
