Hi
I'm really confused as recently I have been getting comments on a site that I thought had no provision for them. When I check them the address ends in .org.uk/?attachment_id=215, the page and the comment box exists but I do not know why or how so I cannot edit it.
I don't know how these pages are created or how to to access them but others obviously do, very odd.
I hope somebody can explain this for me please.
Have you turned comments off in Setting->Discussion?

No, I have not and I don't mind getting comments but what I don't understand is where pages such as http://www.drydogfood.org.uk/?attachment_id=215 come from, how are they created? They are not on the sitemap and I feel out of control when things happen that I don't understand.
They are created when you insert a thumbnail or medium image and set the Link Url to a Posts page.

Ahh, Ok thank you.
So I guess people are just wanting to create links and have the know-how to get to comments from them. Strange that they are all using their facebook page to link but that's another issue, I'll google as to why.

No problem. You might also want to look at installing http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/cookies-for-comments/ to keep the number of spam posts down.
