Please help. All of my comments have disappeared. When I try to post a new comment, nothing happens. I also cannot subscribe to the comment rss feed, it says it does not exist.
I have tried turning off and on plugins, as well as updating to the latest WP version and updating all plug-ins.
My site is housed on Yahoo. http://www.gilladventures.com/blog

says "Comments are closed." on the bottom of your permalinks so possibly your posts have comments disabled? go see if the checkbox for for allowing comments is checked on your posts in question. lemme know

No, I closed the comments because my readers keep telling me they can't comment, and I keep getting blank moderate comment e-mails. Trying to mitigate some frustration while I stumble around to try to figure this out.
When I open the comments panel in admin, there are no old comments, and the supposed new ones don't show up anywhere. Could the whole database go missing?

Have you tried:
- switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
- re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

When I (or anyone) try to post a comment on an earlier post where the comments are still open, the page just refreshes back to the post. I get the e-mail saying I have a comment awaitig moderation, but it does not list who left it or what they said, just some blank quotation marks.
When I click on the link in the e-mail to the comment awaiting moderation I get this: "Oops, no comment with this ID."
When I try to open my comments in the admin area, where once was dozens of comments in various posts and a daily grind of spam, it now says:
"All | Pending (0) | Approved | Spam (0) | Trash (0)Search Comments:
Check for Spam
No comments found."
Ideas?

Check for comments in your phpmyadmin from your host. Browse your wp_comments table to see if your comments are still there.

Here it is: in the phpmyadmin under wp-comments it says:
Can't open file "wp-comments.MYI" (errno:145) and under the table where records - type- collation - size all fields are blank and it says "in use"
Where do I go from here?
