Comments driving me up the wall (7 posts)

    Ok - I KEEP getting spam comments posted on my site, even though I have taken comments off of my posts.
    I just deleted over 400! freaken poker comments and the like.. anyone have any suggestions on how I can permanently disable these goofs from my site????

    I found this to be the easiest way to stop spammers. It adds a simple code that must be entered manually by a commenter.
    All you do is replace two comments files and add/activate the plugin and you're all set.

    I just installed Trencaspammers too. I was using authimage, but it looks like that broke with the 1.2.2 upgrade (not sure why).

    Now............. thing is - in one of my frusterated moments.. I deleted the comments Php for my index file... would someone mind pasting it for me? LOL
    I knew it wasnt going to help all that much - but in my moments of seeing red...... oops!

    Just a tip: copies are always a good thing, particularly before you do anything radical to a page or site.
