    Or in 'wp-comments.php' edit the line that controls it too:
    <textarea name="comment" id="comment" cols="70" rows="10" tabindex="4"></textarea>

    Well I think that is a bit hit and miss. In the CSS default it is styled with a width of 100%. And I am not convinced that all the names / titles and the other code is all in line. Can't be sure. But it drove me nuts. Just my 2c.

    used CSS from the default, and lo and behold, that fixed it. :)
