closed, resolved it, i reset the close automatically after so many days, then put same days back in and all was OK, seems to a small bug maybe?
Check that you haven’t ticked “Automatically close comments on articles older than x days” in Settings -> Discussion.
that was done and set for 21 days, however comments where closing after 3 days or even as soon as published, so what I did I unticked it then saved, then ticked it again and entered the same number of days and all worked.
Sounds like some minor database corruption.
oooh is that a worry or easily fixed?

Personally, I’d be a little concerned about it. Are you making regular database backups? Have you tried repairing your database recently?
how would i repair it? yes I backup
Your hosts should be providing access to a database management tool such as Phpmyadmin which should include an option to repair individual tables.
Repair tables using Phpmyamin
It may be something and nothing but I’d want to reassure myself that the database was quite healthy.

hi
some posts I have show comments closed, however they are set to allow comments in WP, it is only the odd post not all,
I have tried turning comments on/off/on etc emptied cache, using latest WP
any suggestions?
