[resolved] Comments Box (8 posts)

I am not sure where I should be asking this being a newbie in regards to wordpress.

My problem is I do not know how to have a comments box below posts, in the same manner they are visible in pages.

There is a link that nobody seems to see, at the end of the long list of keywords, so everyone is posting comments to these (posts) under my about me page.

The problem new readers is in understanding what comments belong to what post, as all the comments are in the wrong place.

A visible comments area would solve the problem, however I have not figured out how to make that happen.

I am using the TwentyTen Theme; however I am not sure if that is the cause.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

TwentyTen has the 'leave a comment' or '3 comments' link with every post on the front page; and unless you have disabled comments on posts, the comments form appears with each single post.

if your site reacts differently, a link to the site might help to illustrate your problem and might get you some more responses.

Back from overseas vacation, and a computer crash, sorry for the massive delay.

If you go to a "page". example http://www.jlsreport.com/?page_id=5
you will see a box that you can type into.

In a "post" there is only the words link that say "Leave a Comment" that is almost invisible among all the tags. Bloggers see it but many readers don't, so people are responding in a page rather than in the post.

When you are logged in you yourself, do see a comment box, however people not logged in do not, they just get the link.

Any help would most certainly be appreciate.

Do you have the setting enabled that requires users to be logged in, in order to leave a comment?

I just checked the settings and it does not require user to be logged in in order to leave a comment. Thanks for looking into this.

if i go to a "post" (for instance: http://www.jlsreport.com/?p=771) i get the full comment form.

In a "post" there is only the words link that say "Leave a Comment" that is almost invisible among all the tags.

this is on the home page, and coments and the comment form are by default suppressed on the front/home page.

    for a workaround see http://www.transformationpowertools.com/wordpress/front-page-comments-wordpress-blog

I am busy laughing at myself, when I first posted this it was on another domain, and the problem was there.

I did a fresh install on the new location imported all the old data, and it looks like that solved the problem.

I made the error of replying before checking if the problem still exists.

OK I will try get my head out of the sand.
Thanks so much regardless for pointing this out to me.
