   The following comment has been posted 3 times somehow (automatically?). The "name" is actually the title of one of my posts and the IP is from my host. It posts the EXACT SAME excerpt from my posts everytime. And its posting them in a completely different post. I've got it set so I have to approve comments first. Anyway, see below...

   your linking to posts on your site and pinging yourself.

   1. use a relative url when linking to your own site

   or

   2. disable pinging on the post your linking to.

   or

   3. delete your own ping on the pinged post and forget about it.

   Excuse my newbness, but what's the purpose of pinging anyway? And that's definitely the fix because I know I allowed pinging on that particular post. Thanks.

   Pingback lets you notify the author of an article if you link to his article (article on a blog, of course). If the links you include in an article you write on a blog lead to a blog which is pingback-enabled, then the author of that blog gets a notification in the form of a pingback that you linked to his article.
