Comments are in database, but says “No Comments” on most posts, even though SOME have 4 or more.

Clicking on “No Comments” actually takes you to those comments and displays them. So it should NOT say “No comments”.

Also, on the Manage Comments page, the count shows ZERO even though there are 1 or more in fact…

This is new as of installing 2.0.3 or whatever the latest upgrade is. What do I do????

  • Take a look at this forum thread. I had the same problem. Turned out to be an issue with a previous version of the Spam Karma plugin. Once the plugin was upgraded, comments started incrementing properly again.

Fortunately, I caught it in time and there was very little repair to do. It was indeed the upgrade to Spam Karma that caused the problem. I don’t know what people will do, though, if they don’t know how to manipulate a MySQL database. I would bet 95% of the WordPress users out there do NOT know how… I was feeling I was in dangerous territory just browsing my database…

Nevertheless, I appreciate having Spam Karma.

you could add a comment and then erase it after you upgraded SK2. That seems to work.
