Comments and trackbacks (9 posts)

I just upgraded to 2.0 and my comments and trackbacks are both acting weird.

When someone leaves a trackback I get the e-mail notifying me that someone tried to leave one but it doesn't show up on my site.

When someone leaves a comment on my site I get the e-mail notifying me of it and it shows up at the bottom of the post. However, on the home page the post will display that there are no comments and the bottom of the page for the individual post says "No comments on this post"...right above the comments.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on with my site?

Check Manage/Comments. Comments and Trackbacks must first be approved by you before they become public -- this cuts down on the spam.

    Thanks Ed,

I have comments and trackbacks enabled and a spamblocker so there is no approval and they still aren't working.

    Any other ideas?

I'm having the same problem as well. Trackbacks didn't work for me with 1.5.2, so I upgraded last week to 2.0 thinking that it would fix it, but it still doesn't. Trackbacks don't seem to be working either in or out. I found in another post a website to manually trackback, but those don't show up either.

I have downgraded my 2.0 database and am back to 1.5.

wordimpressed: did your trackbacks work fine in 1.5? Mine have never worked. I started at 1.5.2, didn't work. Upgraded to 2.0, didn't work.

Since I upgraded to WP2.0, my comments count is not working at all.
At first I was blaming the theme, but I checked the code, uploaded the whole theme again and nothing happened.

Could this be some weird server setting?

Glenn: All seems fine with 1.5.

Ok, this problem is around since the WP2.0 release candidates.
Some people say that this might be related to the earlier version of Spam Karma for WP 1.5.
