    hey,

    if anyone can help me, i’d really appreciate it. no one’s ever really answered my questions on here.

    this is my site: http://www.mverzyl.com

    1: when i click to view the post and/or leave a comment, the sidebar doesn’t show. how do i fix that?

    2: how can i get my comments inside a box (with my stripes along the side just like my comment and contact box). like on my friend meli’s site: http://www.autumn-sky.org
    i’d ask her but she’s never online when i am and she’s already helped me this far.

    thanks. :]

  • 1) check if <?php get_sidebar(); ?> is in your comments.php file.

    2) That’s basically theme editing you’re asking for. A quick run through (not tested – you’ll have to play on your own) – add this to your stylesheet:

    div.commentlist li {
    border:solid 1px #000;
    padding:10px;
    display:block;
    }

    That’ll put a border around all your list items (in the comments area).

    HTH!

    Nonsense, you’ve gotten lots of answers. You need to follow-up on your threads, however. Remark on status or mark them resolved…

    thanks doodlebee.

    and to yosemite, people have left remarks, but i have hardly ever gotten the answers to my questions, they’ve almost always said, well go here and look it up (unlike doodlebee who gave me a direct answer) there was no reason to comment on that anway, mr. nonsense.

    Just because they didn’t fix it for you, or you don’t like the answer, is not an excuse to leave behind your threads like a smelly cat turd.

    Show some responsibility.

    point blank, you need to grow up. who talks like that? i’m younger than you and i don’t even talk like that. and i’m not asking people to do everything for me. if someone’s just going to say look it up, there’s no need to answer at all. that is not an answer. when someone asks a question the whole point is to get an answer that will help. they know there’s information about it out there, but maybe that didn’t help them. i guess i can go to every post and write, well read about it and that would be helping everyone! and leave my threads behind? i don’t care about “marking” them, my life is not wordpress forums. i come here for quick help just like numbers of other people. i came here to ask a question about a layout, not to complain about something. i don’t need “some” member commenting about something that i wasn’t even here for. you want to fight with your keyboard, do it somewhere else.
