Just wondering if it's just my installations or if any of you has the same problem. Every once in a while I have problems with commenting. I don't get many comments and I'm sure not everybody who tries notifies me of an error, so this "once in a while" could be more often, but this morning I had an email of somebody who could not leave a comment on one of my installations. I tried, got a 403, checked to see if I had any outdated plugins, which I had, but none that I would connect to these problems, but after that, things were back normal. Strangely enough I noticed a couple of spam comments (not in queue) that I didn't get a notification of, this also happens every few weeks.
The plugins that could have something to do with this are:
Bad Behavior (2.0.26)
JS Spamblock (2.1)
and perhaps:
WP Super Cache
Ask Apache (I'm on 3.5.1, since I don't get newer versions to work)
When I try in different browsers things always work (quickly again). When I somebody notifies me of the problem, I don't have to try to reproduce the problem, it quickly shows (and is as quickly solved by something I don't know :-) ) and things are back to normal again for a while. I don't understand the spam-comments that I don't get notifications of even though they are published (and of other comments I do get notifications).
Nothing much changes in my installation. I upgrade WP when needed, I upgrade plugins when needed, both after trying out in my test install first. I'm sure it'll be something with an updated plugin or something, but does any of you have similar problems?
