Commented code in generated page source (3 posts)

Using WordPress 2.0.2, with heavily modified Connections theme.

When I look at the HTML source of a generated page in my browser, I see lots of previous content and HTML markup in the source, but commented out, thus bloating the HTML file size, and download time, presumably.

    For example, see: http://www.acquaforte-etchings.co.uk

What may be causing this? It seems to be previous versions of the markup for the sidebar <div>, repeated umpteen times.

    Where do I start looking?

I would start by looking in your heavily modified theme files.

Here are some things that need fixing. http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.acquaforte-etchings.co.uk%2F

Thanks for that manstraw. I've spent most of the day getting all posts to be WC3-compliant. However that hasn't fixed the problem.
    I'm wondering if it's a MySQL problem. I'll investigate.

    Thanks again.
