Comment Signature Lines

I have looked all over the place, (or at least in MY little universe) and I haven’t come up with anything yet.

So I have come to the well.

Here is what I am looking for…

I am looking for a plugin or something that will display a signature line at the bottom of each comment posted. Each registered commenter would be able to create a signature line with a catchy saying or a website at the bottom of each comment they make.

You see this kind of thing in a lot of the forum software (SimpleMachines, PHPbb, etc.) I would just like to know how to do it in WordPress.

I thought that maybe I could use the description field in the User Profile, but you can only display that within “The Loop”

I also thought it could work something like Gravatar or Skippy’s Avatar plugin, where either the email addy or the user ID determines what signature line to display.

Is there something like this out there somewhere? If not, is there anyone itching to write a plugin?
