I had someone leave a comment on our site. I then replied back to them. I went back into dashboard to see if they replied back but their comment and my reply were both gone. How can this happen?

One other person and I are the only ones that have ever had the passwords. I didn't remove it and he said he didn't. Any ideas?

  2. Did the posts get flagged as spam by akismit?

No. The first comment came in and was pending approval. I approved it and replied to it. I checked the site to be sure it was showing and it was. I then returned the next day to see if there was a response and the original and the reply were both gone.

I don't know if the person who posts the original comment is able to delete the comment or not. I thought that may be it because the comment was a complaint above not getting credit for a photo they were in and my response pointed out that they were wrong and how to check it. I thought they may have been mad or embarrassed and removed it if they were able.

Not unless you have a plugin that allows them to do so. They can't even edit their own comments.

Occam's razor being what it is, someone deleted it either on purpose or on accident. Since only two people have admin permissions, it's you or them.
