   I'm getting bizarre behaviour

   I discovered about an hour ago that I had 5 comments in Moderarion. Why did I get no notification? When I post a comment just following that discovery, the email gets sent. When I approved one of the comments held in Moderation, that email came. But the email notifying me that there were comments in Moderation never came.

   Check Options > Discussion > E-mail me whenever: section. Both boxes should be ticked

   Both are checked, and have been since the beginning.....

   Still not working. Tried switching the admin email to send the notification to another email. Still nothing. Trying a third email address

   I'm having the same problem, and have been for the last couple of versions of WP. Host says nothing has changed, and I've even tried a fresh install of WP.

   Any news?

   I have the same problem. Using WordPress 2.1.2 with wpPHPMAiler plugin for sending email via SMTP.

   It does not send email when a comment goes into the moderation list. But if I approve the comment an email is sent. "E-mail me whenever A comment is held for moderation" is ticked.

   Any body manage to fix this?

   This was working when I was using WP 2.0.4 but stopped sending emails after upgraded to 2.1.2. I have installed some of the plugins from http://www.lesterchan.net/ . I am not sure if this plugins caused it or the WP 2.1.2.
