   I've seen lots of posts on this but no real resolution, so I'm bringing it up again (sorry). As of this weekend I am no longer receiving e-mail notifications when a comment is left on my site (juneatnoon.com). I have not changed anything, either in my settings or the site coding itself prior to this happening. I did an upgrade to version 2.8.2 a week or so before the problem showed up, but wouldn't the problem have started right then? I upgraded to 2.8.3 hoping it would fix the "bug," but no luck. Any ideas?

   I am reading so many different theories on this but no help other than plugins and fiddling with e-mail addresses. Is there really no good fix to this? Eek!

   I'm having the exact same problem.
   comment notifications just stopped this morning.

   I tried changing email settings in WordPress but that didn't help so it's not my email provider.

   Tried deactivating all plugins.

   I use cformsii plugin and it can still email completely fine and I would assume that uses the exact same email system?

   I'm with Godaddy and have another blog I've setup identically with them that's working fine though it's on a different account where I'm an accountexec.

   ...Actually I just this minute re-installed WordPress from the Upgrade section and they seem to be back!!!

   ...and now it's stopped working again.
   Tried making a comment on another WordPress blog I'm sharing space with on the same Godaddy account (different database) and that one's working fine.

   Solved by installing:
   http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/mail-from/
   (After lots of searching for solutions this one cropped up a few times.

   Sorry to be bumping this but comment notifications have stopped again.
   Just tried to register and notifications about that work fine which is quite puzzling!

   And, funny enough, mine just started working again. I haven't changed anything. I did install the mail-from plugin, which didn't work, but that was a couple weeks ago. Now, suddenly, I'm getting notifications. I deactivated the plugin to see if it made a difference, and it hasn't. I'm wondering if it had to do with my server? Or maybe it's just a fluke and they will stop working again. Time will tell....

    The fix I've found is to create a wordpress@your-domain.com email address on your host site. That's the address used to send the email notifications, and adding this address worked for me. I found the fix in some guy's blog.

    Can you link to the fix you found?

    This just happened to me a few days ago now. No more notifications. I don't receive comment notifications from a wordpress email alias, I receive them from the person who actually made the comment.
