Not a big thing - -especially with the spam out there -- but I turne doff moderating commetns (so I get notifications when someone commetns but their comments are posted immediately on the blog) and for some reason the comments still hav eto be moderated (approved or declined) by me before they are posted?
Even if I don't have that set up on the admin control panel?
I would think it's a bit discouraging for those who do comment on my blog to not see their post immediately (well, the REAL people who comment :p ) and I was wondering if there is soemthing internal that might be screwed up if I am still having comments moderated?
Thanks.
I just upgraded from Wuh-Wuh to 1.2.1 this evening and I'm having the exact same problem. Anyone know why or whether there's a fix?
I am using 1.3 so I am just guessing, but have you set a max number of links in the comments that will force moderation?
No, all posts force moderation.
Links or no links. You just tested the system, didn't you Beel?

After cleaning up some comment spam, I upgraded to 1.2.1 and having the same problem. All comment must now be moderated. Does WP have problem counting links?
What is in your spam words box ?
Make sure there is no single characters or spaces or blank lines.
Beel -- I thought it was you who posted twice to my blog. SOmeone from this forum did at least.
That could have been me ?
it WAS the word box...
I had a spare line at the end and that screwed things up.
Podz -- If it was you, then I stand corrected.

I checked there were no blank lines or space, but there must be something wrong with the "spam words". As soon as I make the box empty, the comment works normally again.
cloudless - check the spam words list carefully, there will be a fault of some sort that has crept in between copying it from the wiki (if you did) and pasting it into the box.

Thanks a lot Podz. I will try that and install WPBlackList as well. The comment spam problem is getting me tired.
