• Since installing this plugin, it has work wonders eliminating spam comments. The only thing is, I noticed that now after a reader submits a comment there is no message telling the reader that the comment is held in moderation. it makes it confusing because once the reader submits the comment, it seems to appear on the site. but if they leave the site, close browser, come back later, they’ll see it’s not there because i haven’t approved it yet.

even though spam has been eliminated, i like to manually approve of the comments so in my wordpress settings, i have it checked that the comment wont appear until i approve it. i am wondering if it is the plugin that has led to the message about the comment being held to disappear and if so, is there a way for me to fix it? thank you!

  • Anti-spam plugin does not change default WordPress comment behavior, it only blocks spam comments.

Probably something changed in your settings, or in your theme or some other plugin is changing this behavior.

I tried to submit test comment on your site and it submitted successfully, but I did not see it in the comments section.

thank you for responding. i still haven’t figured out why it won’t pop up a message about it being in moderation but i’ll continue trying to figure it out.
