   I am considering adding a WordPress blog to my existing site. I've been through some of the documentation and gotten answers to many of my questions.

   One question that I am not clear on the answer to involves comments. My blog will have about 15 people who will have author capabilities. What I want is for only those people to have comment abilities on posts. So, if someone makes a post and sets it to no comments, I want anyone who has author abilities to be able to comment but not general public. Registration will be by invitation only since this is a blog for doctors to discuss medical conditions and share tips.

   Will this be possible?

   You could do that sure..

   the simplest way is just to register folks, then turn off registrations, and only allow registered/logged in ppl to comment.

   They would, of course, have to login before commenting.

   There are other ways too but it would require a little more php magic.
