    I've been doing some changes to my websites, and I am having a problem in one of them. At some point, everything was fine, as it is in the other two websites (they're all identical and I did the same changes and added the same plugins to all three) but now, when you go to the post, the comment box (and a "link to me' box) are not there, however, they appear when I click on "Leave a comment" on the top right. I've already tried disabling all the plugins, and even then, the issue is there.

    This is one that works (just click on a post) http://lifewithfengshui.com/

    And this is the one that doesn't: http://www.yourpetsuniverse.com/

    I'd really appreciate any help, please!

    can't reproduce it in IE7 and firefox 3.5.6.
    both sites show a 'link to me' or 'link to this article' when you click on single post;
    and both show comment forms 'leave a comment' or 'tell me what you think'.

    although the pet site has quite a few validation errors: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.yourpetsuniverse.com%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0
    the fengshui site not quite as many: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Flifewithfengshui.com%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0

    Thank you for that, alchymyth... I have no idea of how to fix these validation errors. What file is it that I have to look for these lines to correct? Is there any way to correct them automatically?

    the validation errors could be from any of the theme files, but the first ones are often from header.php, followed by index.php, sidebar.php and footer.php. to make it more complicated, some of these errors could be from the content, i.e. the posts and pages.

    i would not worry too much about them, as your site generally displays ok.
    just keep in mind that it can be useful to get a site as valid as possibel, particular if there many inconsistencies in the display between different browsers.
    if you like to reduce the amounts of validation errors, you would always start at the top to remedy these errors, as some are sort of following from the ones before.
    many 'errors' don't usually have any negsative effect on the browsers, such as "/>" instead of ">" for instance. they may lead to more error messages though.

    more serious one are unclosed divs, or divs closed that were not opened before.

    Thank you! I'm going one by one and I've been able to figure out where some of them were, but others I don't even know what file they're in or how to fix them for that matter...! This is tough :(

    Wow! I fixed almost every error made probably by me when adding html to widgets, but I still got dozens but they are all from affiliate widgets or affiliate links... if those get fixed, won't my reporting get affected? Should I just ignore them? I would love to have zero errors. (lol... like that's gonna happen ;)
