comment blacklist not working ? (4 posts)

It seems that, since I upgraded to 1.5, I get more spam in my moderation queue and more spam automatically approved. The problem is that spam in the mod queue contains word(s) from the blacklist, and they still make it through.

Anyone also experiencing this ? I have the unpleasant feeling that spammers have found some tricky workaround ...

Same here. My wife's blog is getting spam with a link to tigerspice, and neither the individual word nor the complete URI in the blacklist has any effect.

Trying Spaminator, Spam Karma, etc. to stop them. We'll see what happens.

  3. I added "tigerspice" to my moderation list and they're all being caught. Did you remember to run /wp-admin/upgrade.php when you upgraded? I use Spam Karma when I don't want to deal with moderation. So, if this is an emergency, use that. It catches spam like a hungry-hungry hippo.

My Comment Blacklist will no longer accept additions - they just disappear regardless of how many times I enter them.
