Comment author markup in HTML5 – cite is correct?

    I use WordPress 3.6-beta3-24407.
    Comments output in HTML5 format use <cite class=”fn”> for the comment author name markup, but W3C HTML5 says:

    The cite element represents the title of a work
    …
    A person’s name is not the title of a work – even if people call that person a piece of work – and the element must therefore not be used to mark up people’s names.

    cite is wrong use for the author name markup?
