   I know, I should upgrade my WordPress and I will...eventually. My problem is I've been receiving comment notifications for approval BUT when I look on my dashboard for these comments, they aren't showing anywhere.

   In fact, I will look in the one entry they keep coming from and that entry doesn't show any comments waiting to be approved. These comments are all spam comments too.

   If Akismet is catching them, I don't understand why I'm still getting a notification for them. I've since closed comments on that blog entry yet I still receive comment notifications! I'm almost tempted to just delete the entry in hopes that it will stop sending me notifications approvals for it.

   Has anyone had this problem?

   are you sure it's not pingback/trackback spam?

   No, it's not because I have that turned off for all my posts on my blog.

   I'm still having this problem,...I think I'm just going to delete the actual post and see if WordPress is going to still send me notifications for spam for that post.
