   I'm creating my first WP site/blog. In Discussion Settings, I checked "An administrator must always approve the comment". I posted a comment to a post and it appeared immediately (I checked it with a browser that didn't know it was me as a user). This must be a newbie thing, so help would be appreciated.

   Were you logged in when you posted the comment? Not certain but its possible if you are logged in as admin that overrides the setting for that one comment. If you were, try logging out and leave another comment, to see if that produces the result you are looking for.
