Hi, my site is Wonderful Life and I want to know how to insert columns into my Blog page.

What I actually want is, to put the most recent post on top across the page and then make 2 columns on the bottom of that for the rest recent posts.

something like this:

Most Recent Post (1)
______________________
|Next Post (2) | |Next Post (3) |

|Next Post (4) | |Next Post (5) |

|Next Post (6) | |Next Post (7) |

|Next Post (8) | |Next Post (9) |
etc

That would probably mean to make my blog margins a little bit wider, I also don’t know how and I need your help

Is it possible? or do I need to get another theme? (I really don’t want to get another theme)

both these links make the single posts magazine style.

What I want is not the single posts but my blog page to show the example above.

This thread shows how to adapt the Default theme to show the first 2 posts normally, with the following posts in two columns. You could make just the first post wide by changing this:
```
<?php
   ++$count;
   if ($count > 2) {
      if (intval($count/2)* 2 == $count) {
         $postclass = 'postright';
      } else {
         $postclass = 'postleft';
      }
   }
?>
```
to this:
```
<?php
   ++$count;
   if ($count > 1) {
      if (intval($count/2)* 2 == $count) {
         $postclass = 'postleft';
      } else {
         $postclass = 'postright';
      }
   }
?>
```

did you not get the plugin on left when you post where you can select how you want the post in columns

hello, I installed and activated the plugin. It only shows it on posts and pages. I set the columns how I want them but nothing changed. maybe I’m doing something wrong.

When you select the columns you want when you post or create page you need to add where you want next column to start.
