[resolved] Column width changes on hover on most pages (4 posts)

    Hi Tobias

I've got tables on my website with links that turn bold on hover. As far as I can see there's plenty of space in each column, still if I hover on links in the last column it's like the column is dancing (on some pages even the whole table). At this moment it's on most, but not all pages. I'm playing with the widths for a while and there's always some pages working and others not, and it's diffent pages every time.

I've grouped all these tables with the Extra CSS classes in the edit page, and all these tables are in the same group, shouldn't they all react the same to the hover?

It worked fine till I changed the hyperlink text to a slightly longer word...

    Here's the tables:
    http://an.fanboytv.be/?page_id=298 (2 columns moving here)
    http://an.fanboytv.be/?page_id=300 (last column moving)
http://an.fanboytv.be/?page_id=296 (and this one seems to work fine)

    Can you help me?
    Thanks,
    An

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

That's indeed really weird, and I'm not really sure why this happens. Now, I noticed one thing: The sum of the individual column widths for the three columns (690px) seems to be bigger than the overall width (624px) of the table.
I suggest that you set the column widths so that the total width matches, and maybe you should even try percentage values for the columns.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias

Thanks so much for the speedy intervention, the percentages did the trick for me.
