I love the hatch theme from DevPress but here's my issue.
I have used their control panel to change the background color to Black, the other color choosen is blue as links etc. problem is when I hover over a link the color goes black and so vanishes, which is not good, white, yes, grey yes, but black no. Can someone help please I have looked and looked so I must be missing something real simple in code, Thanks D

You can style elements (including color of things like links) in the CSS code for the theme. Start here:

Firebug is a great tool for figuring out which CSS code you need to change.

If you need more help after reading the above, please post a link to your site.

Thanks for your info, and the links. Question though, what is the difference in the links you have given to just using the edit Theme page where it lists the .php and .css. Isn't it going to give me the same info? or does it help more, showing colors etc. Sorry but I normally see a #ffffff color code and change it to alter things, but this doesn't seem to have worked this time, thanks for your help I look forward to your reply, D

I'm not totally sure what you mean. You DO make any changes in the edit themes page. Using Firebug does not actually change the code of your site -- but you can use it to figure out which CSS code to change and/or make "preview" changes to see how they will look. Then you have to go change the actual code in the theme.

OK I'll try downloading it and see exactly what you mean, I've not used it before so it'll be something new and may take out the guess work. I'll let you know if it works, if not may be if you can you can have a look at the site and see what makes it tick, thanks D

Sure. I think you'll find it very useful -- and the Firebug website is also quite good on learning how to use it.
