I am managing a calendar that has eight demarcations within it (we’re using colors to denote the different sub-organizations). Is there a way to pull the color through and style just the tooltip background based on the calendar color, or could this only be accomplished by using eight separate calendar feeds (so eight separate calendars)?

    Hello,

There isn’t currently any way to pull the event colours from Google Calendar, I’m afraid. It can be done with separate feeds and feed-specific CSS classes (as you mention), but I appreciate that it might not be feasible to split your calendar into many calendars.

Do the events for each sub-organisation contain the name of the sub-organization (in the title, description or location field)? If so, you could try the development version of the plugin. The dev version has support for filtering events from a feed via a search query.

This would allow you to create eight separate feeds (in the plugin), using the same feed URL, each with a different filter (“Org 1”, “Org 2” etc). The feed specific CSS classes could then be used to colour each feed as required.

Ooh, we can very easily implement that. I’ll try out the development version. Thank you so much!
