Great plugin, the only one that works right fo me, that is until IE 8.0. I'm using version 0.9.9 with WP 2.7.1. I had to upgrade IE to 8.0 and I now get "oBB oAo" showing before all of my sub-categories. Upgrading to WP 8.0 is currently not an option. Any suggestions or alternatives? Thanks.

If you rely heavily on the Collapsing Categories plugin, don't upgrade just yet. The plugin isn't compatible with 2.8. As regards your strange characters, they may be coming from within your sidebar's template file. Have you checked sidebar.php?

Posted 2 years ago #Thanks esmi. I've checked it in other browsers and it seems to be an Internet Explore 8.0 problem. Which would be beyond my capability to fix.
P.S. Looks like there is a new 1.0 version to work only with WP 8.0. In case you are interested.

Sorry but I don't buy that. Something on your site is generating those characters and, if they're visible in IE8, they'll be visible in other browsers such as Firefox or Opera.
