Just trying to add the slider on my frontpage only. It is coded and working (just not appearing on the frontpage) as the site is using the Page links to show all entries in a category listed on a page (it is being used as a way to have all posts for a newsletter together)
I am guessing it is something to do with the way that the page is pulling all the posts for a particular category, does anyone have any ideas?

Yes, the problem is that I can get it appearing on pages, just not the frontpage when it is using the 'page links to' plugin, I have tried a few coding tricks that I found online, but nothing so far has worked.

I don't know if you got this sorted
But i copied the index template, renamed it and made that my static home page.
i then put the code into the new template and works fine.
