I have WP Photo Albums Plus on this post below and it shows some coding when you are viewing the website. See after the word “Baxter!” or please see the website http://www.hendrixsalvage.com. Can anyone tell me if this can be fixed or another photo album that handles many albums and will do simple slide show?

    Example from website:
    1. Diamondbacks Commercial!
The Diamondbacks requested to come to our yard and film a short commercial of us dropping a junk vehicle with our crane on the mascot, Baxter! wppaAutoColumnWidth[1] = false; wppaColWidth[1]…

  • How do you display the excerpt on the front-page?

Im not sure what you’re asking. Its in a post…

@birgire, don’t hack someone else’s thread. Please make your own thread.

@hendrixsalvage, this probably can be fixed if you put the <!--more--> tag right after “Baxter!”

@hendrixsalvage: I mean what does the PHP code look like, that’s displaying the excerpt? Is it the_excerpt()?

It looks like part of the (automatically injected?) javascript is coming through the excerpt.

@respectyoda: Please explain how I’m “hacking someone else’s thread”?

<!–more–> this works for me! Looks much better. Thank you very much. 🙂

@birgire, you made your question too general which could just sound like you are asking how one can display the excerpt on the front-page [of your site] which is not in direct reference to the OP’s site.

Anyway, the shortcode can show up if the <!–more–> tag isn’t put right after Baxter which causes part of the shortcode to show up. This is due to the theme possibly putting a cap on how many words to show in the exercept then in this case, the amount of words for that specific excerpt doesn’t reach the max and hence, part of the shortcode is showing.

    @hendrixsalvage, you are welcome! 🙂

Please mark this topic resolved. Thank you.

Thank you for the help, i am sorry i dont know a ton… i do know a little about this stuff.

@hendrixsalvage, don’t be sorry. We all have to start somewhere when we learn WordPress for the first time and we learn over time. 🙂

@birgire I believe respectyoda thought your first post was a question not related to hendrixsalvage question. As when first read it, it sounds like you want to know how to display the excerpt on the front-page not how hendrixsalvage is display the excerpt on this front-page. Just a little misunderstanding.

@ hendrixsalvage Great to hear @respectyoda suggestion solved it for you.

@respectyoda I was trying to get more information from the OP to be able to assist him better 😉 Please ask first what the intentions are before jumping to conclusions 😉
