    Hi.

I've been using WP for a couple of months now, for a development blog. I need to be able to write code extracts as part of the blog, but the tags dont seem to work very well. Whenever I use them, the spacing is lost. About all it seems to do, is change the font.

What I need (and Im hoping is available) is tags that will create a box within the post, that will have its own scrollbars (if the code in the tags is too long/wide). Ideally, I'd like it to use colour coding such in line with VB, but its not essential.

I'm basing this on two examples of implementations on other (non-wp) sites. Notably the BB code tags on Certforums.co.uk, and devcity.net.

Its a long shot, but does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks. I went with WP-Syntax in the end. The colouring on the syntax for vbnet isnt necessarily perfect, but I found that the google syntax highlighter seemed to be just slightly too wide for the available space (so it was encroaching onto the sidebar).

May have a play with wp-syntax, and see if I cant clean up the colouring to my own liking at some point.

    Thanks again.

Just a note: syntaxhighlighter plus should have a stylesheet where you can define the width of the code "window".
