Co-Authors Plus Author Order (7 posts)

    I have the Co-Authors Plus plugin installed and working correctly on my WordPress implementation, but I'm having issues with the order the authors appear in on my posts.

    From what I can tell, it looks like the authors are listed in the order that they were added as users to the site. Does anyone know of a way to have the authors appear in the order I list them on the posts page, or at the very least to order them alphabetically?

    Could you share the code you've used to add Co-Authors Plus to your templates? According to my testing on the lastest version, the authors appear in the order they've been added to the post.

    On my single.php page I have a link to meta.php. The code on that page looks like this:

    <div class="meta">
       <?php
             if(function_exists('coauthors_posts_links')) {
                    coauthors_posts_links("");
             }
             else
                    the_author_posts_link();
      ?>
    </div>

    When I add that to my template, I get something like this:

    In the admin, the Co-Authors Plus listing looks like this:

    Can you share similar screenshots?

    To view what it looks like live on our site go to http://dus.psu.edu/mentor/2011/10/reversal-theory/.

    To view a screenshot of what it looks like when I enter the authors in the correct order, go to http://stage.f.cl.ly/items/2k0i2V3t1Y3R26220e39/wp_auth_entry.jpg.

    To view a screenshot of what it looks like after I've entered the authors and updated the post, go to http://stage.f.cl.ly/items/0m3d2U2R2i3k3P1u0H03/wp_auth_saved.jpg.

    I should also note that due to the less than stellar web environment I'm working with here, this version of WordPress has been extended to work with a MySQLite database instead of the typical MySQL database. This was done using the plugin found at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/pdo-for-wordpress/.

    As I mentioned before, it looks like the authors are being listed in the order that they were entered into the system as users. Looking at the template tags file for the Co-Authors Plus plugin, it appears as if the authors are being ordered by term order. When playing around I was able to order by name instead, which then caused the authors to be listed alphabetically by first name. Obviously what I want is for the authors to be listed in the order they are entered when composing the article/post.

    Sorry for the late reply.

    I suspect this is the source of the problem. Do you have a non-MySQLite dev environment you can test your codebase with?
