I should also note that due to the less than stellar web environment I'm working with here, this version of WordPress has been extended to work with a MySQLite database instead of the typical MySQL database. This was done using the plugin found at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/pdo-for-wordpress/.
As I mentioned before, it looks like the authors are being listed in the order that they were entered into the system as users. Looking at the template tags file for the Co-Authors Plus plugin, it appears as if the authors are being ordered by term order. When playing around I was able to order by name instead, which then caused the authors to be listed alphabetically by first name. Obviously what I want is for the authors to be listed in the order they are entered when composing the article/post.
