CMS HELP!

Hey i run a design studio called SIMPLECANDY, and our site is at http://www.simplecandy.com/

As you will see I use WordPress for the news page, but would very much like to use the software for the entire website, the problem is that i want to have a home page that does not show the posts etc than are standard in wordpress etc. i also have the issue of having different sidebars per page too.

I have read many pages on the interweb regarding using WordPress as a cms, but no luck as its confusing and not working.

My question is: Can you assist me with this task, i basically need to be able to have seperate template files for each page, somehow make sure one of the pages is the home page, and have the standard page accessed as though it was another page, plus be able to have a sidebar that displays what i want per page.

Would you be able to send me code/help?
