I am not a technical person.

Our website development company has developed a website in Mar 09, based on the available version of wordpress at that time.

With regards to content management I was conveyed login instructions i.e. http://www.websitename.com/wp-admin/. User name and Password.

Whle accessing the content admin now, system displays error message stating "incorrect password ".

When I click on "lost your password?" link, and in the next screen enter the user name, and click on get new password icon, system prompts with a message " Check your e-mail for the confirmation link."

Unfortunately, I don't know which email ID has been regstered to receive this communication, how can I ensure to receive the new password to my email ID ?

I need a quick resolution of this problem.

Many thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Sunil

You would need to access the database through your cpanel on the hosting website. Check the wp-users table and you can find the email associated with your username.

It is a bit technical (I know you aren't a tech person) but it can be done. Can your development company take care of it in the morning?
