WordPress PopUp
[resolved] Close popup after form submission (5 posts)

    Hi,

I'm using the popup to show an optin form. When the user clicks on the 'submit' button a new tab opens in order to continue with the process.

The popup remains open though. I was wondering how can I have it close upon submission.

I have checked online, but none of the options worked.

If you add target="_parent" as an argument to the form tag that might do it.

    I tried this.

It actually opens the new page in the same tab instead of opening a new one.

That could be another to fix this.

But is there a way to close the pop-up and still open a new tab for the new page?

I'm afraid not.... however if you're confident with jQuery I'm sure you could add a function to hide the popup when a certain element is clicked.
