Anyone with information about correctly cloning site?

've been posting to get help and seems like I'm stuck not knowing where to go next. I've tried:

    1. backup site and database of the old site
    2. at new site, created database, imported data from the old site. In the database, changed URL from old to new
    3. created new users, asigned permission
    4. changed the config file to reflex new user and password

Everything loads fine, however all links take me back to the old site. It looks like my site's linked to the old site's database, but it shouldn't because changed and fixed the config file.

    Old site: vietclark.org
    New site: vietpdx.net

Double-check the urls in *both* WordPress address and Blog address under Options > General. I have a feeling the Blog address is still holding your old url.

I can't get to the admin page, but I changed them in the database.

Is there a manual somewhere on how to do this?

Can't get to the Admin section to do this. When I tried, it gives me this error:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/vietpdx/public_html/wp-config.php:33) in /home/vietpdx/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable-functions.php on line 177

I changed the URLs in the database though.

Is there a manual somewhere on how to clone sites?

I was meaning, why did you have to open a NEW thread, for the same thing? You already made 2 DUPES at the same time, as that one above there.. I linked to..and one was deleted..

Now you have this one, and have the other.. we moderators, usually [close] DUPE threads.. Just was wondering, why didn't ya just bump the FIRST one up, with a legit question? That's all..

spencerp just meant we don't take kindly to multiple threads on the same topic, and closed your other one.

Information here (with links to other documentation) on how to 'move' a WordPress blog:

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress

    And about the error:

    http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_do_I_solve_the_Headers_already_sent_warning_problem.3F

    I'd hit this link first.

    it's really good.

What if I have a need to switch to a theme manually? How do I do that?

    ???

If you mean you if you ever want to *change* your theme, that's summarily described on the Codex, too:

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Themes#Adding_New_Themes

If you meant something else, you'll need to further explain your last one.
